Ancestry
Ancestry.com - Self explanator and prices vary with what ever subscription you buy. I use this as my main source and export my tree to Find my Past and my Heritage every so often (and delete my old tree from these sites) My tree is NMBRB
Find my Past - FMP is good for paperwork information and sometimes has a better format for war record research. The Newspaper are particularly good for UK news findings. It has a few different subscription levels (Starter, plus, Pro) and can be used free of charge with many record review limitations.
My Heritage - My tree is NMBRB. I copy over my Ancestry profile once every three of so months. I do not search much on My Heritage, as I find Ancestry a much better layout.
My Heritage and Newspapers. I find this a little difficult to navigate and the layout is not very good in my opinion. At present, I have not found it very productive or useful.
GENI.COM - This is a layout like Family Search and can therefore be updated by anyone. If you update this website, someone can come along and simple update all the work you have carried out. I used this in my early days of research and stopped using it after less than 6 months as I did not like the layout and format and found Family Search better.
Family Search. I like this website a lot and it can aid in supporting some of your findings and aid in finding out more in some cases. It is an international, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping all people discover their family story. It links in primarily with Find My Past, so it is good if you have an active Find My Past subscription. Some Cons include Shared Editing Risks: Because it functions like a wiki, other users can alter the information, merge profiles, or delete sources you have carefully verified. I have had a few problems with this in the past with updating people’s profiles and someone else came along and destroyed it all. - Duplicate Profiles & Errors: Unverified data or unlinked records occasionally lead to multiple, conflicting profiles for the same ancestor.
Note: If researching a Family Search can be updated by anyone. Sometime someone will come along and remove or add errors. At times, people may also remove a person from the tree. Kent Family History Society. This site has much useful information not included on websites. you can buy the digital downloads without joining, or join and get discounts on products avalible.
Stand Alone Platforms.
Roots Magic. I use Roots Magic on my iPad and Desktop platform. It is a one off cost, but then sometimes new versions suddenyly come at an additional cost

Irish Resources
Irish Genolology - (Free) Roots Ireland. A free resourse for birth; death, marriage, baptised records. Note: Sometimes if the person is born in (example) 1884, a record can sometimes be found either side of the year (Example 1883 / 1885). Not all records are avalible. When finding a record, the page number for that particular record matches up with the Ancestry record you may find online.

RootsIsland.IE - (Paying) While RootsIreland does not offer free digitized images of original documents, it remains a heavily utilized, authoritative tool for Irish genealogy. It includes: It contains indexes and transcripts of local Roman Catholic and non-Catholic records (Church of Ireland, Presbyterian, Methodist) that are not available or fully indexed on other platforms. Their transcriptions include details you rarely find indexed elsewhere—such as specific occupations, townlands, and witnesses’ names. It also covers local registrar records that sometimes pre-date or contain more local information than the national civil registration indexes.

Scottish Records
(Pay per record. Prices vary, depending on date search). This contains births; marriage, deaths, divorce, dissolution and civil partnership certificate. Personally, I think the certificate are good value for your money and I have used this site many times. Ancestors can be found either migrating to or from Ireland, as well as places like the USA and Nova Scotia, so it's likely you may have ancestors located on this site.
Graveyard
Find My Grave - (Free to view and join)
BillionGraves - a crowdsourced genealogy platform that maps and preserves cemeteries worldwide. It works by using a smartphone app to photograph gravestones and automatically record their exact GPS coordinates, allowing volunteers to transcribe the data so families can find their ancestors
